To repair you thumbnail previews please follow the following steps.
- Close CorelDRAW
- In the search box next to the Start button on the taskbar, type control panel. Select Control Panel from the list of results.
- In the Control Panel, select Default Programs (Change the view type in the upper right if you're unable to locate it)
- Using the search bar look for the following extensions (.CDR, .CDT, .CMX, .CDL, .CSL, .PAT) in the list and make sure they set to be associated with the newest version of CorelDRAW on your system.
If you are still unable to see previews, please try the following steps
- In the search box next to the Start button on the taskbar, type control panel. Select Control Panel from the list of results.
- In the Control Panel, locate Programs and Features
- In Programs and Features, locate CorelDRAW Graphics - Windows Shell Extension and uninstall it
- Once uninstalled, in the Programs and Features list locate your version of CorelDRAW and select uninstall/change
- The CorelDRAW setup wizard will appear, select and the modify option and click next
- Keep all programs check and click next
- Check Utilities and click on windows shell extension in the dropdown then click install
